The Night

Webster Hall
Webster Hall at night, 10.10.2008.

its been a crazy week. but i don't know, a lot of it has allowed me to think about some stuff. i mean there is a ton of things that have been running throughout my mind. obviously, the night time is one of them. i mean, to me, the night is the best time of day. sure theres no one around, but it shows life at a standstill. dont get me wrong, i love the day time too, but night just works out better for me. right now outside its pretty foggy and not to mention hella late at night. but calming none the less. I was talking with a friend a few days ago, and the idea of liking the night somehow shows that you as a person prefer to work in the background, kinda un noticed. at night everyone is sleeping, and you really only have the nightshift workers who alot of the times, are behind the scene, restocking shelves and what not. like at market basket, whenever i left after closing , there would be a whole other shift just walking in as i left, and i know that some retial stores have their own night shift to completely clean the store. now weather or not thats enough evidence to support my claim, its what i believe. but seriously, consider sitting outside one night and taking it all in, we all need a break, and the night is where youre going to get it.

yet for the rest of the week, its been in and out of the library. basically double allnighter trying to write that damn english paper. (its on genetic engineering and human cloning). today in class it was probably one of the best classes ive had, people actually complimented my writing, which is quite rare haha... but i do know i need to work on that essay still... oh well

yet aside from not sleeping, i basically had a 3 day weekend within my week, tuesday we got off, wednesday i skipped and thursday i skipped, one because i was jsut too tired and the other because i slept right through it lol.

and i cant wait till thanksgiving... its only a week and a half away, but hell not only is it the food i look forward too, its my damn friends. havent seen most of them since we all went our separate ways, but im positive that it will be interesting to hear all of their stories. sure i have a few, but none are really worth telling.

also, to the few who read... feedback would be appreciated :)

what now...?

so obviously alot has changed since the last post
and i guess there are a few things that i feel like i want to update upon:

friday i shot the Umass Women's Soccer game Vs. St. Louis and i got this one shot that made me laugh a little

and friday, as many are familiar with was Halloween, in the collegian i read an amusing op/ed about how halloween has become more or less an excuse for college kids (mostly girls) to dress slutty. haha if anyone else read it, they would proably agree. but still. at first i didnt want to dress up, but my friend invited me to this party he was going to so i kinda felt obligated to dress up. last minute decision: be a bro. lol a mix between

and

and for the record... i had 5 popped collars on hahahahhahaa

sunday was rather lax. had dominoes baked sandwhiches, not bad a bit pricey but filling... i think...

as far as academics go, beasted socio (94 midterm!!!!) and getting fucked over in english, c- on that fuckin last essay we had.. oh well. i guess just hope for the best no?

now heres something that i usually dont talk about: politics
just in MA,
1 no (good)
2 yes (yay?)
3 no (w/e)

one thing that pisses me off about many college kids is that they think just because we voted yes on two doesnt mean its legal... its just decriminalized, which is good, but its still no reason start waving your dimebags in front of the cops now.. you can still get fined and all lol...

as for brobama, i cant help but feel the way i've always felt: indifferent. politics was never an interesting point for me, and if you think about it, we're screwed either way, our economy blows etc etc. there are hundreds of arguements for and against obama and hundreds for and against mccain. as an article in the collegian put it today "obama is an idealist while mccain is a realist" and we just believe (and hope) that obama can save our damned economy...
so what i guess im saying is, dont be overconfident with our new president elect, just be cautious, i mean after all, he is realtively young.

haha w/e, fuck it all, as the title of this blog goes:
Bahala Na
